BRAND MARKETING

Brand marketing —
a brand AI recognises as one entity

Before AI can cite a brand it has to recognise the brand as a single thing. When the company name and the description differ slightly across the website, the blog, the map listing and the recruitment site, an answer engine may treat them as different companies. It starts with settling one defining sentence and repeating it in the same notation everywhere.

In one paragraph

Brand marketing is the work of organising notation and definition so an answer engine recognises the brand as one entity. When the company name and the service description differ slightly across the website, the blog, the map listing and the recruitment site, an answer engine may treat them as separate things. So we define the brand in one sentence, repeat it in the same notation across every channel, and then connect the official channels to each other.

Citation is a problem that comes after recognition. When the evidence for judging what this company does is scattered, good content still fails to connect back to whose document it is. Navirang confirmed its own notation was split across ㈜나비랑, (주)나비랑 and 주식회사 나비랑 first, and bound them together.

WHEN YOU NEED THIS

When you have these problems,
this is the work you need

These are the situations we hear repeatedly in consultations. If any of them apply, start by measuring.

The company name is slightly different on every channel

When the legal name, the brand name, the English name and the map registration name diverge, an answer engine may see them as separate entities. Navirang was the same — the registered form is 주식회사 나비랑 while the old site's footer carried ㈜나비랑 (confirmed 3 August 2026).

What kind of company this is reads differently on every page

If the home page says integrated marketing, the about page says advertising agency and the blog says something else again, no sentence gets settled as the one to summarise. Answer engines pull the definition from sentences that exist in documents, so with several candidates we lose the ability to decide which one gets used.

Our information gets mixed with a similarly named company in answers

This happens when there is no evidence to draw the brand's boundary. With official channels not linked to each other and no identifying values such as business registration published, the engine has no choice but to bundle documents carrying the same name.

Nothing about the brand can be verified outside our own site

A sentence that exists only on your own pages is handled as an unverified claim. The brand becomes distinct when the entity information and the area of expertise can be confirmed in the same wording from outside as well.

WHAT WE DO

What Navirang
actually does

Written as units of work rather than abstract proposals. The scope of an engagement is set from this list.

Settling the brand's defining sentence

We settle what kind of company we are in one sentence. That sentence goes word for word into the home page, the about page, the footer and the structured-data description, written in a form an answer engine can quote as it stands.

  • Writing a definition where subject, scope and activity all finish inside one sentence
  • Placing the same sentence on home, about, footer and meta description
  • Keeping the slogan separate from the definition (a slogan cannot stand in for a definition)

Organising the naming and notation system

We settle one canonical notation and manage the variant forms actually in use alongside it. The purpose is not to erase notations but to state which is canonical and which are other names for the same thing.

  • Separating legal name, brand notation, English notation and short form
  • Collecting the variant notations actually used on external sites
  • Documenting the notation rule to apply when registering a new channel

Aligning the message across channels

We gather every channel where the brand appears and align name, address, main phone number and category description to the same values. Neglected channels and listings whose ownership cannot be confirmed get flagged separately for clearing.

  • Listing website, blog, map, recruitment and company-information sites
  • Checking whether name, address, main number and description agree
  • Rewriting each channel's description against the defining sentence
  • A clearing list of neglected, duplicated and ownership-unconfirmed channels

Creating the evidence that connects official channels

We leave the fact that several domains and channels are one brand in a form both machines and people can confirm. The channel list for the schema and the sentence readable on screen get made together, because with only one of the two the evidence stays half-built.

  • Only ownership-confirmed channels enter the official list (sameAs candidates)
  • Stating the relationship in human-readable prose as well (e.g. a footer line saying the same corporation operates it)
  • Checking AI crawler accessibility per channel

Putting E-E-A-T trust signals in place

We equip the brand with public evidence that it actually exists. The aim is to expose values that can be cross-checked externally — representative, address, business registration number, founding date — so they remain confirmable facts rather than our own claims.

  • Organising where representative, address, contact and business registration number are published
  • Attributing content authorship (who wrote this)
  • Publishing records with measurement conditions attached, instead of adjectives
  • Synchronising the information on external company-information and partner pages

Aligning brand identity

Logo, naming, colour and tone get aligned so they do not contradict the defining sentence. Answer engines do not read visual elements directly, but when different logos and names appear per channel, people perceive different brands first.

  • Usage rules for logo, symbol, colour and typeface
  • Unifying channel profile images and display names
  • Applying the notation rules to image file names and alt text

PROCESS

In what order
does it run

What you receive at each stage is stated alongside it. Durations are the working time Navirang controls; they are not a promise about when results appear.

  1. 01 3–5 days

    Channel survey

We gather the channels where the brand appears and the external company-information pages, and record exactly how the name, description and contact details have split.

    Channel and notation comparison table

  2. 02 3–5 days

    Definition and notation

The one-sentence definition and the canonical notation get settled, with the variant forms pointing at the same thing organised alongside.

    Brand definition document

  3. 03 2–3 weeks

    Channel rollout

The settled version gets applied to each channel's description, name and contact details. Where the edit rights sit with the client, we hand over the copy as it should appear.

    Channel rollout record

  4. 04 1–2 weeks

    Connection and trust signals

Official channels get linked to each other and entity information and authorship notation get placed on the pages. The schema side runs together with the structured data work.

    Entity connection record

  5. 05 Ongoing

    Recognition check

We put brand-specific questions to the answer engines repeatedly and check whether the description matches the defining sentence and whether it mixes with another company.

DELIVERABLES

What you
receive

We do not do work that ends in conversation. The documents below remain, and become the baseline for the next measurement.

Channel and notation comparison table

A table of how name, description and contact details differ per channel where the brand appears. What needs fixing surfaces from this table.

Brand definition document

The one-sentence definition, the canonical notation, the variant forms used alongside it, and the notations we decided not to use. New channels get registered against this document from then on.

Official channel list

Only ownership-confirmed channels. The structured data's sameAs and the footer sentence both draw on this list.

Trust-signal checklist

Where entity information is published, how authorship is marked, and which information is externally confirmable — organised item by item as applied or not applied.

Brand recognition record

The verbatim descriptions answer engines returned for brand-specific questions, marking where they diverge from the defining sentence and where they mix with another company.

What the table records is the work Navirang applied to itself, not performance figures. How answer engines describe Navirang after this exercise is still being baselined, so there is no result value to publish yet — when there is, it goes out with its measurement conditions attached.

HOW IT CONNECTS

How it connects
to the other work

Our work moves as one piece. SEO builds the foundation for being found by search engines, AEO raises the odds of that information being cited in an answer, structured data helps machines understand the facts, and content supplies the evidence there is to cite.

Area Relationship to this work
Structured data Putting the settled definition, notation and channel list into a machine-readable form
Entity SEO The area handling the same entity-recognition problem from the search-index side
AEO audit Measuring first how the brand is described right now in brand-specific questions
Citation monitoring Repeatedly checking whether the description changes to match the defining sentence, and correcting misinformation
Performance and social marketing A separate service that aligns ad and channel assets to the same defining sentence

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Q This is brand marketing — why start with company-name notation?

A Because when notation splits, everything built on top of it scatters across different entities. Answer engines bundle things into one entity when the same fact repeats in the same notation across several documents. Deciding what counts as one thing, before increasing the volume of content, ends up being the faster route.

Q Does this mean changing the company name to one form?

A No. We settle one canonical notation and declare the other forms actually in use as other names for the same thing. Navirang did not delete ㈜나비랑, (주)나비랑, 주식회사 나비랑 or NAVIRANG either — they were bound together in the Organization schema's alternateName. Erasing notations already accumulated externally is impossible, and there is no need to.

Q We work hard on our blog and social channels, so why does AI not know us?

A Because whether an answer engine can read them differs per channel. In practice the robots.txt of blog.naver.com blocks AI crawlers such as GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot and ClaudeBot (measured 3 August 2026). That is still valid for Naver and Google search indexing, but it carries no weight for an answer engine's brand recognition — so the defining sentence and the entity information have to live on your own domain.

Q Do you also do branding design like logos and naming?

A We do. But the purpose in scope on this page is consistency of recognition rather than visual polish. When logo, name and tone differ per channel, people perceive a different brand first, and that perception ends up recorded in external documents. Identity work proceeds on top of the defining sentence once it is settled.

Q Should we put every social account into the official channel list?

A Only ownership-confirmed channels go in. Navirang's old site had Facebook and Instagram links, but they were empty links with no account path, so they came out of the list. Accounts left open and unused are excluded on the same basis — connecting the channels you actually operate, firmly, is the better outcome.

Q If we do this work, will AI recommend our brand?

A Recognition and recommendation are different stages, and this work handles the earlier one. The state produced here goes as far as scattered documents being bundled into one company, with evidence available to judge what that company does. Which brand gets chosen as the answer to which question is decided by the engine on criteria that are not published, so instead of promising recommendation or visibility, we organise the evidence for recognition and make the change confirmable under the same conditions.

Q How is the effect confirmed?

A Before the work we save the verbatim answers to brand-specific questions, then after the rollout ask the same questions under the same session conditions and compare three things: whether the description matches the defining sentence, whether another company's information mixes in, and whether official channels appear as sources. Metrics that aggregate a whole question set, such as citation rate, belong to citation monitoring; what this page checks is what kind of company we are described as. Navirang is applying the same procedure to itself and recording its baseline.

What kind of company does AI say your brand is?

Give us the brand name and the website address and we will check how it is described right now, and send back a comparison table of the names and descriptions that have split across channels.

We reply within one business day.
