BEFORE WE START

Five things we check before we start

You do not need answers now. We work through these together once you get in touch — thinking about them in advance simply takes a few days off the audit.

  1. 01

Can you list every web page and channel you operate?

Why we ask — Answer engines build their understanding of a brand from information scattered across the internet. Not just the official site — a blog, social accounts, a marketplace storefront, anywhere the brand name is written. When those channels describe the brand differently, they split into separate entities and the signal disperses. Seeing that state requires the list.

  2. 02

What is the site built on? (custom build, Shopify, WordPress, Cafe24, Imweb…)

Why we ask — The platform decides what can be changed. Whether structured data can be inserted directly, whether titles and descriptions can be set per page, whether body text lands in the HTML source. If the body is only painted in by JavaScript, the content can be excellent and still look like an empty page to a crawler — knowing that first keeps the work in the right order.

  3. 03

    Which competitor concerns you most?

Why we ask — So we can see who is being cited today for the same questions. Whether the slot is held by a competitor's site, a community post or a government document changes the response completely. This is not about attacking anyone; it is how we gauge difficulty.

  4. 04

Do you have verifiable facts an answer engine could use as evidence?

Why we ask — Answer engines use facts that can be checked in preference to marketing copy — certifications and licences, scope of work, published data, a track record confirmable from outside. Superlatives or unsupported numbers in this slot not only fail to get cited; in some regulated industries they create a compliance problem.

  5. 05

Which questions would you like AI to name your brand in?

Why we ask — This is where the question set starts. It does not need to be a finished list — two or three is enough. The closer they are to sentences a customer would actually type, the better; they should be questions, not keywords. Navirang designs the final set by category from these answers, and once the wording is fixed it does not change for the duration of the measurement.

The answer engine reference sets out what we measure and how each engine can be checked independently.
